Member at Large Membership & Awards (2 Year Term)

This is a SELF-nomination process. You must be a current member of NDEO/NCDEO in order to serve in a Board position. We encourage people from all parts of North Carolina and from all dance education settings to apply so the Board may best reflect the diverse membership it serves. All positions require a two-year commitment of service and attendance at monthly one-hour virtual meetings. Additional job responsibilities are outlined below. Applicants may apply for more than one position. Terms begin May 1, 2025 and end April 30, 2027.

You must be able to attend our virtual board meeting on Wednesday, April 30th 6:30-7:30pm if you are selected to serve on the board.
Duties include:
Communicate and survey members and prospective dance educator members of NCDEO annually to elicit feedback from membership about their satisfaction with NCDEO
Oversee process & nomination of Outstanding Dance Educator & Lifetime Achievement awards
Oversee & manage Regional Representatives
Manage and update teacher/member email list
Design initiatives to increase membership
Assist with planning the annual NCDEO conference
Perform other duties as directed by the Board President & Board
Contributes to the management of strategic plan goals
