Position Summary
The Performing Arts Department at Belmont Abbey College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach a variety of dance technique courses.
Job Responsibilities
The courses are non-majors courses that serve to meet part of the College’s core curriculum requirements. The ideal candidate must understand and embrace the responsibility of supporting the college’s Catholic identity and value participation in an academic community dedicated to a robust Catholic and Benedictine educational vision.
Qualifications
Applicants must have prior experience teaching a variety of dance techniques at the college level. A masters degree is preferred.
Central Academy of Technology & Arts (CATA) is an arts and technology magnet high school in Union County Public Schools serving students in grades 9-12.
They are seeking a dance educator who values both artistic excellence and strong instructional practice. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured classroom environment that balances creativity with active teaching, skill development, and high expectations for students. Experience working in rehearsal- and performance-based settings is preferred.
This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as the dance teacher works closely with other performing arts faculty during productions and interdisciplinary projects. Candidates should be willing to contribute positively to the culture and visibility of the Dance Academy and the broader performing arts program.
