Laura Stauderman

NC DPI Representative, Ex-Officio

Laura Stauderman graduated from the University of the Arts, (BFA/Dance Ed) and Teachers College, Columbia University (MA/Dance Ed). She has over 25 years of experience as an arts educator including as the former Dance Director at HWB Magnet School for the Arts, FL, East Millbrook Magnet Middle School, NC, and Holly Springs High School, NC. Laura is a National Board Certified Teacher and was the first educator to implement the National Honor Society for Dance Arts at the middle and high school levels in NC. She has presented at local and national conferences and served on the NCDEO board since 2017 in the roles of President, President-Elect, Vice-President for Professional Development, and Member At Large. Laura is a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership and Management Ed.D. program at Drexel University. In August 2024 she joined the NCDPI Arts Education team as the Visual Arts & Dance Consultant.
